When I first read this paper by Tim Keller I thought (I’m just being honest here) that he was over-emphasizing the importance of the Gospel for day to day living. I am now at a place where I don’t think it can be emphasized enough.

James’ Resolutions on Speech
Ryan Townsend has a great post over at the 9Marks blog on 20 resolutions that he has culled from the epistle of James. Paul instructs us to think sober-mindedly about ourselves and while we all have unique combinations of struggles, James makes it clear that the tongue is of central importance to all of us who wish to walk in a manner worthy.
Finally Alive by John Piper
Finally Alive is the title of Pipers latest book. It’s on regeneration (aka being born again). This book is getting a uniquely powerful response from reviewers. Tim Challies while reviewing the book says that this is “Piper’s best yet, addressing a topic of massive significance” and is in agreement with Adrian Warnock that “this is the most important book Piper has written.”
